WAPSN Conference 2025 Program and Details

The WAPSN Conference is just around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome you to two packed days of learning, connecting, and celebrating the strength of the peer workforce across WA. 

This information has been emailed to all WAPSN Conference attendees, and we have posted it here for those that wish to access outside of their email.

The WAPSN Conference is a ticketed event.
Tickets are now sold out and we no longer have a waitlist.
Only those with confirmed tickets will be given access to the conference.

Here’s everything you need to know before we kick off:

🗓 Conference Dates

Day 1: Monday 9 June 2025 

Day 2: Tuesday 10 June 2025 

Doors open at 9:30 AM, with sessions starting at 10:00 AM on both days.

Optus Stadium 

333 Victoria Park Drive, Burswood WA 6100 

 

🚗 Getting There & Transport Info 

Taxi:

Taxis can drop off passengers at Marlee Loop, accessible via Victoria Park Drive

Car Parking: 

Free parking is available on the Marlee Lawn (enter via Victoria Park Drive).

It’s a 5-minute walk to the Riverview Rooms, or you can use the golf buggy shuttle. Ask a parking attendant if you can’t locate the buggy (it may be mid-run).

Train:

Perth Stadium Station is open during the conference and just a 6–10 minute walk to the venue.

If using public transport, please use Transperth’s JourneyPlanner  to plan your journey.

 

Venue Entry Instructions

·                Enter the stadium via Gate D, then take the lift or stairs to Level 1 external plaza 

·                Follow the plaza left and enter through the Western Entrance (Doors 7 or 8) 

·                Once inside, take Lifts 7 or 8 up to Level 3, where you’ll find the registration desk and conference area

What’s Provided

·                Two full days of learning, networking, and connection 

·                A full program of panels, workshops, and peer-led conversations 

·                Morning tea and lunch both days, with tea and coffee available throughout 

·                Dietary options include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free 

·                WAPSN merchandise will be on tables in the Riverview Rooms—feel free to take items home 

·                Organisational stalls will be on site with resources and take-home materials 

 

What to Bring

·                Your Eventbrite ticket or confirmation email (digital is fine!) 

·                If you’ve lost your ticket or are part of a group booking, please see staff at the registration desk 

·                Notebook and pen, or your preferred note-taking device 

·                Any accessibility or comfort aids you require 

 

🌦 Weather & Rain

·                The forecast is fine for Monday and light rain for Tuesday—but Perth weather can be unpredictable! 

·                We recommend bringing a light jacket or umbrella just in case.

·                All sessions and catering are indoors, but movement between spaces at the beginning and end of the day may include short outdoor walks. 

 

Accessibility

·                Unfortunately, we don’t have control over room lighting or temperature, and so we encourage attendees to bring anything that helps them stay comfortable—jumpers, sunglasses, fidget toys, etc. 

·                A Quiet Room will be available throughout the conference, clearly signposted and located separately from the main conference area. It includes sensory activities and access to peer support. 

 

🛠 Venue Info & Safety

Smoking Policy 

Optus Stadium is a smoke-free venue. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is only permitted 5 metres away from any stadium exit. 

 Emergency Evacuation

Follow instructions from Stadium Staff in the event of an emergency. 

Do not use lifts or escalators

The nearest evacuation point is Assembly Area South, located at the Southern Oval between The Camfield and Gate D
